Welcome to the online home of ACP International - Kansas City Chapter. We offer professional development and networking opportunities for career counselors, career coaches, outplacement consultants, college placement staff and all career services personnel in the Greater Kansas City Area. Monthly meetings bring together members to share best practices, attend career programs on "hot" career issues, and build connections with peers. Please join us at our next meeting!


Key chapter goals:


• Provide continuing education within the career management field.
• Increase public understanding about the careers industry.
• Serve as a professional development resource to corporations, professional service firms, individual practitioners, academia, government, and other organizations.
• Maintain dialogue and foster collaboration with other ACP International chapters, as well as with the USA and International boards of the organization.
• Set and represent high standards of professional and ethical conduct for all career professionals.
• Facilitate a social and professional networking forum for career professionals through meetings, career programs, social events, career conferences, and committee involvement.

  
  MEETINGS
  
  ACP International - Kansas City Chapter holds career program meetings on the third Monday every most months at the American Bandstand Restaurant in Overland Park, Kansas. Visit our calendar of local events to learn more about our programs and our next meeting.
  
  MEMBERSHIP
  
  Founded in 2000, we are proud of our members and the roles they play in the career services field. In 2003, Kansas City received a “Chapter Growth Award” at the Association of Career Professionals International Annual Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2004, our chapter's founding president, Kathy Voska, was elected President of the ACP International USA Country Board presiding over 18 chapters representing the largest country membership in the 2000-member Association. In 2006, Meg Montford was elected President-Elect of the USA Country Board and slated to assume the presidency in 2007.

• Would you like to become a member of an international careers association and attend regular meetings in your own community? Plus, have the opportunity to attend international conferences worldwide? The 2004 international conference was held in Venice, Italy. Kansas City was represented by two of our board members. In 2005, the conference was held in Chicago. In 2003 it was in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and 2002 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 2006, the conference was held in Boston, Massachusetts.

  The 2007 ACP International Annual Conference will be held April 26-29 in Prague, Czech Republic. You will be able to network with peers from all over the world. Most ACP International Annual Conferences attract careers professionals from many different countries. Past attendees include those from Denmark, Holland, Japan, Brazil, Italy, Israel, Spain, Sweden, Argentina, France, Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, USA, and more.   Annual membership dues in ACP International are only $150 per year. This one low price covers both international and local dues. You may enroll and pay dues at any of our local chapter meetings or sign up online today at ACP International. Please join us!
